What puns? I was genuinely excited for Dick. Named in the best only once in 17 games last year, so far 1/1 this year!
Some snippets from the lions match report
Reserves Wrap: Round 1
According the their coach Harding, the Lions only had 10 inside 50s to half-time while the Swans had "40-odd".
McStay and Gardiner rotated on Membrey and Towers.
Looks like they were short of a ruckman (Maguire had to pinch-hit) against our two specialists.
That's a good wrap by Leigh Harding. We should have something like that at the Swans.
Ugg, you should offer your services as a Nom de Plume for Crouchy. You could probably even earn a few bucks for it, if not for Buddy's contract.

It is rather mundane. I prefer my version.

Can anyone who watches a lot of the reserves games be able to give some insight into Patrick Mitchell?
I read that Mitchell is a brilliant tall athlete. Pyke arrived in late 2008, made his senior debut in 2009, and developed rapidly after that.
Is Mitchell a chance of making his senior debut this year? Is he likely to be a tall forward, ruckman, or tall backman?
Given even the most regular of ressie watchers would have only seen him play once, a fortnight ago, we are all pretty much in the same boat.
I liked what I saw from him in that game, he was most definitely keen and ran around like a young racehorse. That said, he has a LONG way to go and I'd be amazed of he forced his way into the seniors this year. Actually i'd be devastated as it would mean we have an injury list as long as the great wall if he does make his debut. A measure of how far is when he gave a 50m penalty away due to his over exuberance. He seemed a bit unsure of what to do next, whether to follow the ump downfield to the mark and I reckon the ump probably knew the situation as he was given some latitude when he could have reasonably been penalised a further 50m for getting in the way.
Need to see him for a few more weeks to even work out where the Swans are going to develop him. He played mainly as a forward cum relief ruck against GWS's seconds, but that may mean sfa in the whole scheme of things...
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09
