Pyke's name is on the team list but that doesn't necessarily mean he played
- The two best players were both toppies, one a rookie toppie at that - how did that happen ?
- Naismith not mentioned as either a better player, nor as a goal kicker - did he end up playing ? Toby Nankervis seems to have jumped ahead of him in the queue for glory.
- Swans only won by 20 points...I had them in the footy tipping to romp home....what went wrong ?
All interesting questions justabaraker but since I doubt anyone but Swans and Uni officials and players were watching we may not get the answers you are seeking.
Naming two toppies as the best players would suggest to me that Crouch and the coaches are sending a message that they was unimpressed with the effort of the listed players as a whole.
Nankervis finishing with 5 goals would suggest he played the majority as a forward, and we can extrapolate that to assume Pyke played and played the majority of the time in the ruck.
I also just checked out the Sydney Uni AFL twitter account, it says Uni hit the lead at the six minute mark of the last term 47-43! Which means we kicked the last 24 points (3.6) of the match. Would have been an extreme boilover even accounting for the lessened number of listed players.
I've bolded the players named in the best list

Roser must have been playing a defensive role? Not sure how effective he was with 0 tackles though and the 3 high profile ex-AFL players in MOD (39), Brabazon (30) and Sierakowski (26) got a lot of the ball.
Pyke looks like he's ready, 48 hit outs, 18 possies and 5 marks is a fair workout.
