Thread: swans game on emirates flight

You'll be able to get score updates through an app. As for watching the game pretty sure you can't unfortunately.

Emirates wifi I had to pay for last Month Dubai-Sydney. Make sure you don't have a work email connected as it will download all your emails if you've had data roaming switched off. That will wipe out your download limit very quickly!

Not being enlightened on this sort of stuff, what sort of internet do the newer flights have? Sure, it's 'wireless' insofar as a passenger connects to the plane's data feed, but that feed would surely have to be Satellite internet into the plane itself. If so, what's that like at 30,000 feet compared to a sat connection on the ground of the kind you get in remote country towns?
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

But you are closer to the satellite...

You can check what's playing on your flight here - http://www.emirates.com/au/english/f...rtainment.aspx - Doesn't seem to be any AFL, unfortunately.

If you can get the Internet on-board, and if you have the AFL Live app on your iOS/Android device, and if the bandwidth is sufficient, and if you can afford the exorbitant costs of the airline providing the net.

    That's a lot of ifs.
