Crowd prediction - preliminary - swans v north.

    I'm going w 48,657.

North are not a well supported team so that takes away a few thousand. ANZ seems to be unpopular atm. I hope I'm wrong and that it cracks 50k. For those who live in Sydney, what are ticket prices like? Decent or overpriced? This no doubt will affect numbers too.

Prices are ridiculous, even with the cheapo category 5 introduction (where there aren't that many seats).

If we crack 50K, it would be a good result considering it is Norf we are playing. I'll go 43,500.

Do you know what proof was needed ?
(I have 1 pre-paid SIM, but can happily buy more, or maybe rustle up some some Telstra accounts from those I'm buying for)

The memory's a little hazy now, but I think once you login to your Telstra online account, there's a link that takes you to a special Ticketek page where the only category you can buy is their special discounted one. Pretty sure you only need to have one account, buying up to a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction. You might be able to buy more by starting another transaction.

Thanks - found this video which agrees with you. Looks like I need to set up (or dig out) my telstra account.

North supporters have jumped on the bandwagon. I was surprised on Friday night how many there were. Although don't know whether many will travel up.

I really hope we get a big crowd. I want us to be like the freo crowd tonight! I went to the 2003 prelim and the noise was unbelievable. I had goosebumps during the singing of the national anthem.

Collingwood prelim 2 years ago was 52k. The Buddy factor should help I expect around 40k.

I'm watching this prelim now. The crowd noise was very loud especially when Jetta kicked the goal from THAT run. Loved Bruce's commentary..."Usain Bolt couldn't catch him" ????.

I'm hoping for at least 50,000.

Out of curiosity I compared the ticket prices between ANZ and MCG. Category 1 is the same but for all other categories ANZ is cheaper.

How do you access these half-price Telstra tickets?
