Probably the best I can remember is a bloke by the name of Paul Harrison.

Scott Direen was a handy fringe player, and before him Wayne Carroll and Robert Dean, who I think actually topped our goalkicking for a season back in the 70's

So in answer to your question 18 is not a reverred number in Sydney
The late great Paul Harrison was a bloody legend.

Looks like famous namesakes are worthy of #18 for the Swans

Wayne Carroll did take Mark of the Year in it though

#44 is a great number. Works for Corey Enright. Hope Jake keeps it.

#19 should take over #18, which is more suitable for someone of his abilities; and save 19 for Mills next year. The #18 should be saved for players in transit or the deepest of depth players.

#39 Warrick Capper. If anyone would have been pretentious about a high number it would have been him.

How could I have forgotten The Whiz or Paul Bevan?
I was only referring to the latest group of players as an example of who has kept the high numbers.

Wash your mouth out! I loved Scotty Direen at the time. He was the only player in the team who could actually find a target with his kicks (except for maybe Mark Bayes).

I thought this was the Isaac Heeney thread. Maybe all the talk of numbers can be shifted to it's own thread.

Anyone watch the training footage featuring the boxing and wrestling?

Isaac looked like he had Dan covered when they were wrestling on the ground...they were going at it pretty hard too! You could tell Dan hated being beaten by the new kid on the block!

Ah back on track here. Thank you Connor Dillon. Yes I watched the footage of both the wrestling & boxing. I would have loved to see footage of Zac Jones 7 Heeney go at it. Jones was animalising someone else. They are both have the killer instinct. Interesting the drill was Smithy's idea. Both he a Rhyce were very good technically. Heeney wasn't bad either.
