Round 9, Bombers v Swans
9.11.64 to 18.6.114
Where to start? Buddys five goals? The midfield dominance (JPK 39 disposals, Jack 32, Hannebery 28 & Bird 31) Parkers 2 goals? Malceski concussing an umpire?
The Swans kicked off a dominate game with a 7.1 to 1.1 first quarter and never looked like giving the Bombers a break, the game was paused for a while when umpire Troy Pannell was knocked out in a collision with Malceski and had to be taken from the ground in a car. Hanners looked like he may be in trouble with a bump on Hurley which resulted on no free to the Bombers
The Swans are on a winning streak and the team is gelling together, the Buddy and Tippett show is on a roll, and were sitting pretty at the top of the table.

Round 11:Sydney 22.16.148 def Geelong 5.8.38 at the SCG
The Swans were granted the opportunity to kick off the 2014 Indigenous Round, hosting Geelong on a Thursday night at the SCG. The timeslot was somewhat unusual, for Sydney at least, but a healthy crowd showed up to voice their approval. The lads looked magnificent in guernseys designed by Lisa May Sansbury, mother of Sydney champ Goodes. And the Cats looked pretty good in their special jerseys too.
Having recovered their season from its stuttering start, the home side set out to show the football world that they were serious about 2014. Deadly serious. This turned out not just to be a victory. Not even just a smashing. It proved to be a systematic and ruthless dismantlement of a team still itself with premiership aspirations.. Yes, the Cats were missing a couple of key defenders. It might have made some difference, although the back six that took to the field that night did pretty well, considering the domination of the Sydney midfield. And yes, the Swans were coming off a bye; the Cats their second six day break in as many weeks. It showed, though as Ling tried to explain to his fellow commentators, it really shouldnt have shown right from the opening bounce. This was just one of those nights when one side was totally in the zone. Chris Scott spent the game sitting placidly in his box, watching as the Swans outnumbered his Cats at seemingly every contest, tackled harder, and defended as if their lives depended upon it.
The night was summed up for Geelong when, with a minute or so to go, it seemed as if they had kicked the goal to save them from the ignominy of a 100 point defeat. But the 4th umpire ruled that the ball had scraped a fingernail as it left Selwoods boot. There was time for one last Swans foray forward, and as the siren sounded, the ball flew from Jettas boot. A desperate defensive stretch on the goal line looked like it might have prevented this final insult, but the review system ruled otherwise, and we were all left with huge grins on our faces.
