    Just got the good news.

And then they will be back in March for a pre-season game. Summer in Coffs is great.

I was able to see about the last 40 minutes of training this morning.
Buddy, Shaw and Macca were sitting under the tent for all of that time.
Goodes and Heeney were just having a bit of kick to kick.
There was a squad of about 14 doing boxing practice.
Rose had his shoulder on ice but by the end the ice was gone.
Everyone seemed healthy except Mitchell was limping around a bit and not participating (by the time I got there)

    Whats with all the boxing?

Are they going the biff this year?

i know its good for cardio and all that but they are doing an insane amount of boxing drills this pre season.

Is bud laughing at Shaws cheeky attempt to wear his 23?

    Thanks for the pics.

Dunno about the boxing but Davis was quite clearly not yet up to the standard of the others, he was visibly tiring by the end. Something about that surname and fitness?
Maybe it is a reflex thing as well as cardio? They all had to respond to a leader (Smooch) calling out different patterns.
Boxing maybe to help find the mongrel they left in Sydney late September last year?

BTW Davis was the only one to decline the autograph and photo session at they end. The Swans girls asked him a couple of times. Shy? Didn't think anyone would want his autograph?

Another thing I did notice was the media staff were completely different from previous years and they did have a new video camera. For those buddying videographers it looked like a Sony FS7 with an adapted EOS lens. I will get a closer look on Friday hopefully.

He didn't seem to be limping when they walked in for an autograph session this afternoon. I will have a close look at tomorrows session.

If going the biff means we show some balls if we end up in a situation like the GF last year, then I'm all for a bit more boxing in preseason

I had a @@@@ start to Friday morning and only got to the training session as the boys were packing up. Mitchell didn't have any noticeable limp though.
Our highlight was though, was to have a chat with Nick Davis! What a legend. I was thinking of you Stella. He was only too happy to talk about THAT GAME and then engage with my friends three year old.

It is rare that you are shown so clearly why you are put on this earth. I tend to overthink it and go into a long discussion with my self. Nick Davis doesn't need to do that. He knows. Life is simple. Four fourth quarter goals. That's it. Boom.

P.s. Sorry you had a rotten morning the other day
