    The Great Gaz Hits 50

Today's other milestone, one he thought he'd never reach.

Sydney Swan Gary Rohan set on writing new chapter after injury-marred first 50 games

I was on the fence behind the bench when Gary ran onto the SCG for his first game since his appalling injury, and I went as nuts as anyone. He has made a wonderful recovery and to my mind stand on the edge of greatness - the sheer speed, marking ability, devastating tackling, can engender excitement of the most intense throatstopping kind. Go Gaz!

And as a footnote, I'm very pleased to see Rhyce get credit for his constant support.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

He was one of my favourite players before the injury, he was one of the few players we have drafted in recent times that made an impact in his first season.
Great to see him back out there playing, he adds a lot to this side.

Yes, well done to Gary Rohan. And I do hope that tonight we see a few of his customary chase downs, a few scything runs and maybe a goal or two.

Interesting article, dimelb. Gaz does look quicker off the mark and it's not got unnoticed. His explosive pace instills fear before he even takes a step so just being nearby's enough to make the opposition rush a kick. Add this perceived pressure to his very real pressure and Rohan becomes a powerful weapon anywhere on the ground. He also has cool hair.

Love that Ranga. Still a bit hit and miss but he doesn't need to do much to turn a game.

The call against him tonight was a disgrace

Can't believe the ump missed his first bounce! He had burnt off those two cats players and had the goals in his sights...could have been a brilliant, crowd lifting goal! Horse's reaction was pretty humorous as well.

In the post game interview with Tom Mitchell I saw Gary limping and noticed ice on his Achilles (or at least on the back of his ankle). Hope nothing is wrong.

He'd be disappointed with his game tonight, it wasn't one of his best.

That knock he took early in the third quarter seemed to affect the rest of his game.

    Patience. His time will come.
