One milestone worthy of a mention is Frank Kalayzich will be umpiring his 500th Premier Division game. Remarkable longevity in that in a typical weekend he will control a game in which most of players weren't born when he made his senior debut.
Umpiring can be a thankless business; and it's the nature of the game that we tend to notice the occasional calls they get wrong more than the vast majority they get right. But without the umpires there would be no game - and to control 500 of them at the senior level is a remarkable achievement.
