Buddy has been ruled out ????. Does anyone know what exactly is wrong with his back? I hope it's not disc related.

    Bummer abut Buddy.

On the basis of Tom Harley's interview:

    IN: McGlynn, Pyke
    OUT: Jones, Nankervis

Fs I think you forget that Goodes, very much proven when Nanka was subbed last week, is not KPP. He did very little in the marking contests because he is not a contested pack mark. We can't depend on Nanka as a forward option either. If Pykie is not ready I would bring in Naismith.

I agree about the captains by the way. They don't stand up and be counted. Kizza has been ordinary all season, has had a few good ones but more real shockers. Macca has been by far the better player but he doesn't stand up when he is needed and lead by example. Neither player seem to be able to infuse enthusiasm into their team-mates. I would go with one captain next year, Luke Parker with Smithy as his vice and if there is any dissension, get rid of the problems, trade them.

As to dropping Reid, I don't think last week was his fault entirely. The delivery, not just in the second half, was dreadful. I would leave him in the forward line and allow him to develop. We haven't done that with him as he has been all over the shop. I think we have to make the decision as to where we want him to play. He is a KPP and he needs to either be a KB or KF.

My changes are a little more tame as I think at the moment with so many experienced players out we don't have much choice. But I do think Kizza needs to get a bit of a cattle prod.

    Ins; Pyke, Robinson, Rooster.

    Out; BJ, Kizza, Nanka,

By the looks of training footage Benny was doing laps. That is never good. Rooster & Pykie both trained. Due to Buddy being out I don't think we have a choice but to play Rooster.

Great to see Gazza back - hope they haven't rushed him back, but he will be a good addition the forward line, given our struggles up there in recent times.

If they don't play Rohan as sub I will be very disturbed.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Rohan should get the first 2.5 qtrs me thinks

Article on Swans website by Henry Playfair.
Talking abut Isaac Heeney one line was 'Its a shame for the rest of the team that he stands out'. A bit of a backhander to the boys I would think. The team should not be depending on a 1st year player 18 y.o. to take the heat. They should be protecting him.
