Have to say, whilst I do much prefer the SCG...it was not all bad at ANZ. The Carlton elimination final in 2010 remains one of my favourite games. And remember finally getting over the Pies in 2012, with Jetta running 100+ metres to goal.

Then again there was the surface...the exposed bolts...the tent pegs...not being able to see anyone coming down the wing from the pockets...that 19000 crowd at the North final...

I'll miss it a little in a strange way, but there should be some great games with big crowds to look forward to at the SCG.

I think collingwood play 17 of 22 games in Melbourne getting from Olympic Park to Moore Park takes 30 mins... On two separate stretches they play 6 straight games without leaving home. Suck it up

And they play mostly at the MCG where the players WALK from their club rooms to the ground.

The Collingwood supporters should be allowed to keep their seats at ANZ stadium. It seems only fair. The TV coverage can have a camera set up there and interview some fans as part of the half time entertainment. Maybe we can offer a free dental clinic before the game. I think that should be compensation enough.

Chins was on his program this morning saying that it is a great outcome for the Swans and for football in general. He supports the deal. His only problem was with the AFL who he thought should have at least warned the pies that this may happen for their round 1 clash. His issue is that the supporters have booked accomodation for the Homebush venue and now it is too late to change for the Easter weekend. He stressed that he has no problems at all with the Swans and supports us in it. Immediately I am suspicious...

If the Pies are telling the truth, they're clearly in the right on this one. Having said that, this is the level of respect you get when you continually take pot-shots at a club. Can't have it both ways.

And as added compensation, we could schedule a Western Sydney Wanderers home game at ANZ at the same time. Just to up the entertainment value. What could possibly go wrong?
