Thread: Changes for Rnd 5 V West Coast

Mchack is slow. In a team that's slow. In a backline that is slower. We cannot afford to play mitchell and mchack in the same team. 1 slow small man you can live with .two and you can ?iss a flag goodbye.
Mitchell is more value to the team than mchack.

Dear Baz. Clearly not watching if you think Mitchell and McVeigh aren't in our best 22 when fit.

I wouldn't have thought McVeigh is slow. I'd have thought him "average" pace for his size.

If we can only carry one slow player in the team, we have some tough choices to make - we can only choose one of Hanners, JPK, Parker and Mitchell (if we take McVeigh as the benchmark for "slow").

McHack...still? Between ANZ and out of date nicknames, you're losing touch with 2016 Barry

You mean like, for example, Sam Mitchell and Luke Hodge?

And it's amazing how rarely McVeigh gets tackled, considering how 'slow' he is.

No surprises there. George only had the one poor game and bounced back last week in the NEAFL so logical to replace the disappointing Towers.

Reckon Rose will be ruing his down game last week after tearing it up the previous few weeks. Glad they are rewarding good NEAFL form, puts everyone on notice both seniors without established form and NEAFL players to keep up good performances. Have a good one George and show them what they're missing Sinclair.

An unfortunate in is number 23 umpire Robert Findlayson, can be relied on to burn you with a few poor decisions.

No surprises in the changes for me. The club was never going to play 3 ruckmen, nor should they unless Tippo was FF for the game

McVeigh frustrated the hell out of me last year, which is why I've been critical this year.
Gave him a pass in his game back (should not have walked into the side)
    I'll be watching him again.
Hope he proves me wrong, but he seems a step down, especially this year.

Ted on Darling????????????. At least he will get assistance in the back 50 but on the wing Im concerned ????.

As a forward you dont have to be fast, smart is enough. Sam Mitchell, Diesel are/were total guns and I dont see Macca anymore in the class of Heppell or Pendlebury as a distributor.

Macca a permanent flanker/pocket and a little time in Mids gives us 25-30 goals in a season.

We have plenty of speed and skill in our young mid/forward players.

    Hannebery 25
    Parker 23
    Mitchell 22
    Cunningham 22
    Lloyd 22
    Robinson 21
    Jones 21
    Hewett 21
    Rose 20
    Heeney 19
    Mills 19
    Papley 19

    Plenty to work with. ???
