Would be good if someone from the club could read this and respond to the overwhelming dislike of this song on match day
A few tragics here overreacting to the short snippet of a song at quarter time doesn't compare to the thousands that enjoy it and sing along with it, taking it for the silly little interlude that it's meant to be.
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.
The great majority of the crowd at any Swans game of the last few years have sung along and seeemed to enjoy it.
Not sure why some people here are getting so angry about it.
Not sure where you're getting angry from.
The title of the thread is pretty self explanatory.
What did you expect to read here?
You've made your POV pretty clear. You like the song, you think discussing its removal is "tragic" and making people "angry"
Yet you seem to be the only one getting upset with the discussion.
Perhaps just don't open the thread?
I doubt the negative comments about the song are going to stop.
It will likely just frustrate you more....

I'll never complain about Sweet Caroline again after hearing what West Coast have planned. Apparently before the bounce, everyone must stand on one leg, flap their arms and scream "I'm a Weagle! I'm a Weagle!" then pash the person standing next to them. Tru fax.
Ew, imagine having to kiss a Weagle! They really shouldn't be encouraged to breed.
So if todays vote can be believed (and Im a little dubious) Sweet Caroline is the crowds singalong choice.
What choices they gave. Love is in the air? Hotel California!
Now sweet Caroline is by popular demand...
It was weird, they put the poll up just before they played it anyway, and then left it up afterwards. Then they played Livin' On A Prayer at 3/4 time (which we were by the as it turned out).
Today's a draft of your epitaph
