Thread: Final Ladder Position

I would have thought our profile on that graph is pretty close to ideal (Adelaide's is similar).

The 'bulge' for GWS will continue to drift up as the core of their concession and early draft picks mature through their 20's - however their situation is a unique one.

Ultimately it's about the quality though - Hawthorn's graph is fairly well spread, but you take away the top end and the quality of those 20-25 is mediocre, certainly compared to ours.

Geelong's seems good at first glance, but they're too skinny at the young end and that is challenged even more given what they traded away in last year and this year's drafts in the Dangerfield deal. And there isn't the quality in their 'bulge' that GWS has to have all of them stay until their 30's to make up for the lack of elite younger talent.

I am so glad I was wrong with my original predictions.

We are no looking like a final against GWS at ANZ stadium if Geelong, GWS and Hawthorn all win their games.

There is a bit of a sink about playing a final at ANZ, but isn't it likely to turn out that that geelong 2nd will host a home final against hawthorn 3rd at hawthorns home ground?

If that happens do you think: 1. It would be a fair outcome; and 2. That Cats fans will be happy about it?

Will the cats fans boycott it?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this stat already. Last two times Swans have been minor premiers (since the move to Sydney) they ended up coming 2nd. So hopefully third time lucky!

So now we play GWS unless Hawthorn loses to the Pies, in which case we would play Adelaide.

I have a feeling you've been hanging out with Michael Talia too much.
