It does make you feel a bit dirty but how good would it be if the win today by 1 point ??? lets wait and see if "free kick hawthorn" will come into play again!!

Amazing to be 1st when we thought we'd blown our chances of top 4 a few weeks ago against hawks.

Just to show the fundamental bias in the AFL, by my calculations it doesn't matter if hawthorn win (4th) or lose (6/7th), they would only play one final away from their home ground to a premiership.

Sydney 1st, at least one away, maybe 2.

Is there a 'prize' for minor premiership i.e. money, cup etc?

  6. #282
If hawthorn lose today, the ladder for the top 8 will be in perfect % and games won order.

Yeah shows that Hawks and GWS will be the real winners from this round. Having said that if the team is good enough they should be able to win at any ground so I say lets demoralise the giants by beating them convincingly at ANZ and go forth to an SCG Prelim and win that.

Furthmore if swans can't beat GWS at ANZ they will not beat either Hawks or Geelong at MCG

If we lose the the Giants then we probably meet Adelaide the following week at the SCG. So we only have to win one of these home games to make prelim. I think it's a good chance that the Swans will play the Giants in GF.
