I too have dismayed at his late game mistakes, but where were the leaders. He was good against Freo. He deserves his place in the side. He works hard and his average stats have improved big time.

He has his @@@@ scared OH MY GOD I'VE GOT THE BALL what the @@@ do I do now moments but he does seem to get the ball a lot! So I reckon in a year or so once he gets used to it and stops panicking he'll be quality.

Or he's just the panicky type and it will never change.

Wasn't it Towers who sold a dummy stabbed it to Buddy , goal .
A lot of Sydney players are not smart enough to do this , they get run down (HTB) when this quick lateral movement solves the problem .
Some are very good at it , especially Macca, Buddy, Mitchell, Josh , Jack .

Don't ya love it when people get really picky about terminology used.
Regardless, hate would be interpreted for the way he plays and his skill set, obviously not as a personality description.
"Never to play again" and other nice phrases were thrown around a couple of weeks ago, blaming him for losses etc.

I also note that apparently Mc H a c k has been banned. That's pretty silly. I don't think it has been used in a descriptive way of McVeigh for years. It's only ever used in discussion , as I did.

It was probably added years ago and has never been removed.

It is obvious we play a style of football that requires a strong bodied midfield rotation to win that footy

We dont play a chip and pass uncontested style

But for our style to win we also need some fast outside players to negate the run of other top teams who have a stack of fast players ie a GWS

Who should we trade in for towers for his outside role ?

Can we make this happen cost effectively ?

He has good pace, good evasive skills and is hard to tackle. He just needs to improve on his disposal and defense (ie - tackling). I see him as a needed part of our group. If we could get Reid out there for any length of time that might change.
