Mrs HP is going with two girlfriends tomorrow night, and they are not engrossed in our game, but are very very interested to see it.

Anyone know where you can watch in Melbourne, I have googled but getting more articles about it rather than anything solid on where I can actually go and see it .

If you are going to contribute to this thread, and especially if you are going to respond to other posts, please make sure you first read and process the posts you are responding to, and understand what that poster is actually saying. And once you truly believe you have understood, respond in a way that is constructive, not incendiary.

I have just removed a post from this thread that did neither of the above and will remove any further such post. Every RWO thread deserves this level of respect from members, but none more so than this one.

At the moment it's only showing as part of the Sydney Film Festival. It won't be getting a cinema release beyond that (or so the current plans are) but will be shown on FTA TV later this year.

The good news for those of you in Melbourne is that you can be amongst the first to watch the upcoming second documentary - Stan Grant's The Australian Dream - which will opening the Melbourne Film Festival in August.

Yep, actually it's a worthwhile practice on all threads.
Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.

Good point. There seems to be quite a bit flying off the handle at the slightest provocation in this thread. My family and I are
all going to the State Theatre tonight, and I'm expecting to see a lot of red and white in the audience. Should be interesting.

    Four years too late...
Premiere tonight. How opportunistic of them.

AFL 2019, news: Adam Goodes apology from AFL, The Final Quarter | Sydney Film Festival

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I think they (the AFL) have picked a time (now, just before the premiere tonight) where their apology will receive the
most publicity. You'd hope that that is because it is a sincere apology and they want it to be noticed. The future will
tell of course, and how they deal with other racist incidents that are sure to occur again on and around the footy field.
The AFL can't fix the terrible mistakes they made in 2015, and it's up to them now to not make mistakes like that again.
    We shall see.

You are far more confident that things will change than I am.
Look out for me tonight... I'll be in a yellow blazer. Come and say g'day.

To be honest, I'm not that confident actually, I've read too much history I think.
Sure, I'll come say hello if I spot you.

I am lost for words and furious . I want to see this as a positive move but I can’t help feeling it’s an opportunist grab for some minor historical validation in response to the actual lack of response at the time of this ,and I will call it for what it was , shameful period of Australian history.
Adam would be well justified to feel more a than a little offended .
It was four years ago not four decades ago
