Lloyd has been amazing since his move to defence

Josh never plays a bad game. His will and competitive spirit to be able to play well in the biggest games year in, year out is quite amazing hes just simply one of the best big-game players there is.

The top 10 finishing order for the 2016 Club Champion award is as follows:

    Josh Kennedy 922
    Dan Hannebery 913
    Heath Grundy 865
    Luke Parker 834
    Dane Rampe 833
    Lance Franklin 827
    Jake Lloyd 684
    Tom Mitchell 672
    Nick Smith 622
    Kieren Jack 601

Note: Club Champion votes were awarded by the five coaches - John Longmire, Stuart Dew, Henry Playfair, Josh Francou and Brett Kirk. A player can be awarded a maximum of 50 votes per game, and coaches can allocate up to 10 points for as many or as few players as they deem appropriate, per match.

Other awards presented on the night:
Paul Roos Award for Best Player in the Finals Josh Kennedy and Heath Grundy equal first
The Barry Round Best Clubman Award Alex Johnson
The Dennis Carroll Trophy for the Most Improved Aliir Aliir

Not surprising considering he was the inaugural winner of the Ludwig's Future Stars Award. Look out for George Hewett (2nd winner) next year. His star is rising.

Joey may not have won the Brownlow yet but he's giving Kelly and Skilton a run for their money.

They should name the Rising Star award after Kinnear if someone knows anyone at the club make this happen. Guy deserves a statue as well.

Also, Lloyd seems to be rated much more highly than by most here.
    Not me.
He's had a really solid year.
And Most of his disposals have been effective.
Is it a coincidence that his form improvement, started around the same time as Teddies fall?
Ted must've been holding him back.

Though I suspect that Henry Playfair, as our defensive coach, deserves a big wrap this year. It was an area that probably most fans were worried about coming into the year, but for points against we were best in the league and our rebounding was often very sharp.

I got the ticket back in June... I think it was $280.

    Jake is a silent achiever.
This year, he's been calm under pressure and has managed to be in the right spot at the right time on numerous occasions.

I'm happy that our defence polled so highly. They are bigger guns than the midfield.

He said in his speech that he realised that he needed to lift his game to cover Ted. He did so, admirably.

    Club Champion error - sydneyswans.com.au

    What does this mean?
Does anyone know who the released name was?

    Congratulations to Kennedy!

Good to see Grundy recognised...only had that one bad game.

Was Tippett there last night? I'm curious after the "rumours".

    Of course Tipoff was there.
I was a little concerned that he still had his coat and tie on at 11pm.
I did offer to help him take them off!!

    Was Talia there?

And how did Hannebery and Buddy seem physically - were either limping?

TripleM are the ones made to look foolish, given the Swans have admitted it was their error. TripleM would understand about deadlines and the need for the club to give them advance notice. It's unfortunate the club made an error, but laying into Fairfax is clearly unfair.
