    Andrejs Everitt delisted

Disappointing , but he's keeping a sense of humour :

He was never going to win the Brownlow , but I liked him.
I will never forget the cold night at the SCG when he kicked a late sealer v Geelong :

He's 28 next year so I really find it hard to see a club taking him on as a de-listed free agent. Maybe a Lions or North as cheap cover as they go into rebuild phase.

He's a good honest footballer who racked up 131 games over 10 seasons with three clubs. If that is it for Andrejs then he should feel satisfied with a career as a true professional where he got the most out of his ability. Sure he'll be able to get a well paid gig in the Melbourne district leagues for a few years yet

He did nothing much wrong for us, hope he can go around again and I think we had more from him than his brother who came across a year or two too late

I'm pretty sure I never knew he was Spider's brother until I read something on the AFL website today.

I confess...I had not realised that either! But then I'd completely forgotten about Spida until I read this thread. I'd also forgotten about Veszpremi who we traded out.

Wow, memories of the building site Funny, those players who have one great moment. I always think of Dennis-Lane's chase, tackle and goal v Carlton in the 2010 EF.

See that Dre has retired, at only 27 or 28.

Must've seen the writing on the wall.
