Joel Amartey's highlight reel - sydneyswans.com.au
How did he get through to the rookie list? Impressive and answers Ludwig's dreams.
As I noted earlier, Amartey missed what would have been the winning goal after the siren in the TAC Cup championship game. If he had kicked that easy goal there would have been a lot of hype about the great mark he took to get the chance to kick the winner and would have probably gone in the second round of the ND. I'm sure with some mentoring from Gary Rohan, Joel will learn how to step up and deliver in the big games.
I just read that Michael Talia has joined the Norwood FC in the SANFL in Adelaide. I had wondered what he would do next. He is now in the same city as his brother (and they appear to be close) which is probably some consolation for missing out on an AFL club list.
BUMP
Hey bloodspirit, might be worth starting a 2018 thread for this and adding a link back to your excellent post for historical reference? Up to you mate, but this was a popular thread and it would be a shame to lose the discussion into the ether.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector
Sam Murray very impressive for Pies today, game high metres gained. But Fox looks just as good as a running half back and we are now holding the Pies second rounder :-)
Kin and co did a good job in 2016 rookie draft: Swans welcome five new rookies - sydneyswans.com.au. More so, our development coaches have done a great job developing the talent our recruiters get in the door. Our first two selections, Ronke and Fox, have proven successful with both players now winning their debut and impressing. Edwards and Fisher didn't make it but Pink is still on the books, albeit languishing on account of injury. Pink remains a long shot but I really like what I have seen from him. Was worth drafting even if he is facing being overtaken by the likes of McCartin and Blakey.
