I'm expecting a better showing from our established stars and looking forward to seeing the newbies strut their stuff. However I'm predicting a long night. Doggies by 36. Go Swannies!

One team will win by around five goals. Hopefully our boys.
Oh, I didn't realise AA was an emergency. Did he fly down? Last minute change?

umpires are Jacob Mollison, Shaun Ryan and Brendan Hosking.

Do these umpires like us? I wonder if there are any tweaks to the new rules for ruck contests after last nights game.

It's the same 3 umpires as last week.

I believe there will be a late change for us tonight - Aliir for Foote.

Same umpires??? Yes definitely Dogs by 40 points. They get 4 goals from free kicks and we will get one, as per last week. Same old umpiring story!! Seen several incidents last night, where the defender had his arms around the forward in a marking contest. They were all play on, last week they were free kicks??????

I wonder if the Swans coaches will have a 'quiet word' to the AFL Umpire Department about Easton Wood and his 'legging' tactics - used without penalty in the GF

I just noticed that Foote is named instead of Aliir in the ressies on the NEAFL website, so good chance you're right. I wonder if we were just waiting to see if Tom Campbell was named in the Bulldogs side, which would mean that we would need another tall defender to take Tom Boyd. The team looks a lot better with Aliir in it.

I'd like to see Harry Cunningham put a full court press on Odell Beckham Jr. If we could shut him down, it will go a long way to helping us win. Especially with the news of putting his contract talks on hold, I'd really get into him. And Harry has got the speed to go with him. If Harry succeeded in stopping JJ, he'd be in my good books. Maybe we could even get him into Nico's good books, although I think that may take a football being surgically attached to his skull.

It could be an advantage having exactly the same umpires because we'll have some extra insight into how they'll interpret and apply the laws. At least it might help if they are consistent.
