Well that quarter was 1000% better. Who would have thought that we would have one more scoring shot? Wish we had converted more.

And of course Collingwood are kicking goals from the boundary!

Midfield has finally lifted...Hanners was fantastic.

Love how AA has so much time and sneaks through.

But with a hell of a lot more poise. His disposal of the ball this year has been scrappy so far, but that touch will return.

    - Sinclair is so unco-ordinated.
    - Aliir is not a match-winner yet - but what a future.
    - no probs with the umpiring so far.

Much better in that second quarter, and even a bit of luck with the umpires near the end there - made up for what appeared to be a blatant throw in the lead up to their last goal.

That first quarter was truly awful - the worst I can remember for a long while. But the rev up at quarter time at least seems to have pushed the workrate up. Importantly the big names starting to having an impact too.

Half time on Fox Footy and Schwab is quoted as saying they are going to give players more time to dispose of the ball this week. So we are back to what it has been for a long time now....but they don't tell the teams before the game, so the coaches of the other rounds matches get to learn from the Friday night game, yet the Friday night teams are the guinea pigs. Fair dinkum, we can bag the umpires but the idiots coaching them get away with changing the rules weekly. Talk about jobs for the boys/hacks.... Peter Schwab, please give me strength.

Still scrappy, but no longer insipid. Hannebery very good that quarter. Hayward is going to be a fan favourite. It'd be nice if we started to hit Buddy and Reid in the second half. Think we'll probably grind out a win from here.

Thank goodness some of our mids stood up in that second quarter.

Has Jones got the flu? Slow to the ball, slow to react and slow to dispose.

For a competition that sees itself as so professionally run, it still has some seriously amateur edges to it....

Surely Reid had his arms taken out in that one on one on the HFF.

My only concern with AA and his disposal is his tendency to float his kicks
It looks like a chip shot in golf and the time that the ball spends in the air sometimes leaves the recipient open to body impact and a potential turnover,
It is of course balanced out by the magical time freeze skills he possesses

H Marsh looks good for a player with 8 games under his belt
