Playing with ladder predictor I have us finishing 10th with 11 wins - 11 losses, two wins outside the top eight.
But is all just one big guess at the moment
    • Rnd 5 vs Giants (Home) Loss
    • Rnd 6 vs Blues (MCG) Win
    • Rnd 7 vs Lions (Home) Win
    • Rnd 8 vs Roos (Away) Win?
    • Rnd 9 vs Saints (Away) Loss
    • Rnd 10 vs Hawks (Home) Win
    • Rnd 12 vs Dogs (Home) Win?
    • Rnd 13 vs Tiggers (Away) Loss
    • Rnd 14 vs Bombers (Home) Win
    • Rnd 15 vs Demons (Away) Win?
    • Rnd 16 vs Suns (Home) Win
    • Rnd 17 vs Giants (Away) Loss
    • Rnd 18 vs Saints (Home) Win?
    • Rnd 19 vs Hawks (Away) Loss?
    • Rnd 20 vs Cats (Away) Loss but could be a win given recent history
    • Rnd 21 vs Dockers (Home) Win
    • Rnd 22 vs Crows (Away) Loss
    • Rnd 23 vs Blues (Home) Win
We should beat the saints twice and the hawks twice and by the time we play the Tigers they will be in disarray.

We should've beaten the Power and Pies at home too

With those games we had half a team.

I agree with the first sentence, as for the second one, we are not an 'AFL fairytale', so I think we'll be pushing @@@@ uphill there.......

With such a even season 1st may lose 6 and 18th may win 6, 1995 Brisbane made the finals with only 10 wins , with % still ok and carlton twice this year

1st may lose 6 and last may win 6
    4 losses and ok % ,10 wins and good % will be enough,brisbane 1995
carlton and hawthorn twice= 16pts and good %
    roll on 2017

Richmond? Are you kidding? We have an annoying habit of losing to Richmond when we are favourites, and that makes them a serious bogey team. I would be marking that game as a loss in pen before we even play them, if they are still higher on the ladder. The last time we beat the Tigers when they were higher on the ladder was in Round 10, 2003 (Richmond started that season with 6 wins in 8 games but only won one more game for the year).

The difference is that we don't have the backing of the corrupt/incompetent umpires. The Bulldogs shouldn't have even made the GF let alone won it.

Thought I'd look into this. We've really had byes only since 2011 (when GC started). Since then the Swans record after a bye is 0W 3L for away games, 3W 4L for home games. I doubt that it's "statistically significant", but there may be some truth to it.

Be interesting to look at other teams records in the same period.

I hope that remains the teams mindset, rather than just tanking.

Apparently they had 7 (or maybe it was 10) teenagers on the field so the result was a foregone conclusion.

Brisbane are playing really well against the doggies. Can't take them lightly!
