Lions 34 Swans 32 at half time after Bastinac goal and Murray miss. Agree Dosser Cedric Cox looks very good. Very scrappy second quarter with the Swans getting back into the game. Murray getting plenty of the ball.

Yep, from what I saw of that quarter, our game plan should have two basic elements. 1: Get the ball to Nick Newman. 2: Keep the ball away from Cedric Cox.

Yes agree. He's far too skilled by foot to be playing in our senior side!

By the way, for those people like me, who are less technologically gifted and have been frustrated by the lack of replays in the NEAFL coverage: I just stumbled on a way to get replays of goals. What you do is; after a goal, move your cursor to the bottom right of the screen and let it hover over the timeline. It should show you numbers above the timeline. When you get a readout of, say, -0.30, click on the timeline and that will move the coverage back thirty seconds. There's your replay! When you've watched that and want to get back to live coverage, just move the cursor to the left and click on 'LIVE".
Damn, all this time I've been grumbling to myself about the lack of replays and they've probably been hiding there all along.

Swans should be 3 more goals in front but they are killing them around the packs.

Maibaum impressed me that quarter - quite composed and good disposal. Handy to have another up and coming defender. We have pretty good depth there really - Aliir/Melican/Tahlia/Maibaum. Not stars I agree but they all look able to play roles. The tough thing will be playing on the "Gorilla" forward as we saw last week with Casboult. I think Melican may be the long term option for these players after Reg retires.

I reckon they have had to redo the throw up about 7 or 8 times.

Good game. For me it was Neumann followed by daylight then the rest.

Yeah Newman is too good for this level. I wish they would give him 5 games in a row in the Seniors. Thought Murray was good, Cameron's ruck work is pretty good and Maibaum was solid too. Pretty good win against a good opposition on paper anyway.

Newman should be in the first team, no doubts about it. Another decent performance by Cameron in the ruck - he is a decent prospect.
