I can't believe I am saying this but Sinclair was OK today.

fortunately Brisbane didnt have the necessary personnel to shut down our play makers.......I'm loving the rise and rise of Lloyd last year this year.....Jones this year coming from the deep......marsh and Cunningham today helping set up play from the HBF and wings

Macca cool hands today linking play......solid decision making and missed this season

But I must say we are still a long way off the pace.....looking towards he next few weeks to lift the intensity again

Happy we won for the lads to sing the song !!

Who got to wear the sports drink in the middle of the circle?

Huge turnaroudn today albeit against some pretty poor opposition. Zak Jones and Melican clearly best on ground. Really liked Marsh, Melican, Grundy. No passengers really although Papley was very quiet. Felt so reassuring having McVeigh out there.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Yes, enjoyed hearing the dulcet tones of Kenny Williams. Thought there was going to be more than three inside the circle though.

Does buddy have anything to worry about that jumper punch?

Scrappy last quarter, we went back to our dodgy skills. But we finally won!!

We need to sign Jones asap! His run and carry is exactly what we needed.

    Hanners needs a rest...He can't chase.

Towers should keep his spot, I thought he did well.

I'm getting annoyed at the number of holding the man decisions after the player just drops the ball. Cost us 3 times today.

Nice to see us singing the song ????.

What about the bloke who smacked eight goals? You're a hard marker. Not in the top five?

With the jumper punch, if the angle that they were showing on TV is the only angle that they've got, then probably not. From that distance, it's inconclusive as to whether he made any high contact, and if so, with what force. Dermie was trying to talk up the Mills late spoil, but while it was a bit late, it was more a glancing blow. Towers being whacked squarely in the back of the head was worse.

A good spirited effort from the boys, especially the midfield group. Jones was great and Parker also played well. We did look like a bottom 4 side at times, especially the way we leaked easy goals and gave away dumb free kicks. Marsh played well and Macca was good for his first game back, but we still have a lot to do to work as a unit. Solid games from Towers and Cunningham.

I found the decision on Aliir a bit odd. We knew about him missing or coming late to training yesterday, so we could have dropped him completely from playing this week, or dropped him to the reserves and used Newman or Foote as our emergency, but instead chose to have Marsh come in and have Aliir as our emergency. Conceivably, Aliir could have played today had somewhat pulled up sore from the warm-up. This makes me think that the offense was not that onerous, but simply that the club has a no tolerance policy regarding training standards. I felt this may have been the reason for the Abe Davis delisting, since it certainly wasn't for lack of talent. Rohan was interviewed at halftime and said that Aliir missed the 'captain's run earlier this week' (I think this is what I heard) and it was a leadership group's decision regarding Aliir.

Oops - yeah, for some reason I meant to type Franklin and Melican came out LOL. Yes, Buddy was sensational. Melican was really impressive too
