Past players day at olds. Looks like we have a fair few coming back for a kick in div 4 if I can find a spot for them. Should be a good day with special jerseys being worn in prems and auctioned off.

Disappointing. You'd have had some golden oldies keen to re-live past glories one more time. And to have two forfeits on one day is rotten luck.
Hopefully they'll still come and I'm sure the tales of the past will be entertaining......

It's hard to understand why the AFL don't put Magic down to 19s Div2 as they have requested as at the moment all that will happen is a lot of their players will stop playing AFL at the end of the year.

Seems like a lot have stopped playing after first few rounds if they are already forfeiting. I wouldnt travel across sydney for 20-30 goal floggings each week and im sure most 17-19 year olds could think of better ways to spend their saturdays. Its a shame. Every other code would have dropped them down. Yet for sydney afl its too hard to re do draws.

I can't see why the AFL would need to redo the draw? 19's Div 2 teams have a bye each week, just put them in there.

And to think Blacktown nominated two 19's at the beginning of the year. It's a bit ridiculous that new 19's teams have to submit a 25 or so player list before being admitted to the comp, whilst existing 19's don't, given the 19's are very transient. Last year, they made the grand final with predominately second year 19's, made up almost entirely from players out of area. Dropping them a grade during the season would cause a precedent.

It would create a good precedent for those teams that ask to be regraded because they are losing players. #1 goal of the AFL should be to retain players and attract more players but their action here is doing the opposite.
