This does look more like the Swans of old

I hope Horse doesn't dent his confidence by berating him every time he makes a mistake! We need a player like him playing with confidence attacking from defense! We have enough dour defenders who struggle to make a 20 meter kick but it appears that many on here want his papers stamped already!

Good skills and creativity do not make a quality AFL player. You need to be able to hold your own one on one anywhere on the ground and Newman doesn't seem to be able to do that. Granted, every player makes me mistakes, and I agree he would probably get better with consecutive games under his belt but as we have one win and are still mathematically a chance to make finals, I don't think we have the luxury to keep playing him in the 1's as a learning opportunity. And when Rampe and Rohan come back, he will be hard pressed to make a case for a spot then.

Why are Swans playing 8 in defence including Sam Reid?

Yes , Billericay. The targeting of Mills forced us to retaliate more forcefully. And we will continue to so, until the other teams realise that tactic no longer works. But the cheating, arm chops, roughing up etc were there from round one.

    3/4 time. 43 points up, 99-56.

    Live ladder time:
    North 2 5 727 770 94.42
    Swans 2 5 688 730 94.25
    Pies 2 5 645 706 91.36

If we score 1 more point (win by 44), we go above Norf.

Think Tom and George just snapped North's leg rope. Hope we go on with it. Loving the fact that almost every North possession is under pressure.
Possibly time that Buddy kicked a couple.

True, last week was definitely an exception, but he's been off all season.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Newman has played four (4) games and now averages over 20 disposals per game. Yes Dane should come back when fit but does he necessarily take Newman's spot ?
