"He's an important part of our future" - Tom Harley

Big statement from Tom, wonder what we read into that, hmmmmm

Bad luck for Darcy. You imagine he'd be in line to take Tippo's spot in 2018.

Assuming they put him on the LTIL this would open up a space for another rookie

    1. Are you assuming Tippo leaves the club? Or even if Tippo is still with us?
    2. Good point about the possibility for a rookie promotion. Probably we wouldn't promote right away because whoever was promoted probably wouldn't get a game right now. Instead it's better to wait until one of the rookies is playing well enough to be picked in the senior team. I'd love to see O'Riordan get a game this year although he hasn't been so exciting in the Reserves this year. Murray was probably the form rookie list player until his injury; the last couple of weeks Fisher has been that player. Fox has played seniors already. Edwards has been much talked about but isn't quite breaking down the door just at the mo'. Now that Ronke's begun his footy at last we might want to have a look at how he goes before promoting someone else.

If his contract were expiring this year, Cameron would have already shown enough to justify extension. I look forward to seeing him return even stronger next season after a full pre-season.

I think it makes sense for the Swans to keep Tippett and find a way to get him back as close to early 2016 form as possible. But were they to lose him for whatever reason, Cameron seems a more natural replacement than Sinclair or Naismith. Were we to lose Reid (heaven forbid) you'd also think Cameron'd be next in line for that position too.
