I saw an interview with Lonegan during the week where he said that he didn't believe he belonged till his mid twenties and I thought Towers, who I always found unassuming, had cracked it... not to be. Maybe next week. Still has more to do for mine for a first round, mature age pick....
    Haters got to hate.

Towers is in our bottom 4 players. If he plays a game where he's even close to top 10, is time to celebrate.

5 goals and BOG, gee if only he could get touched up like that every week

They did enough to win on the day.
    Still a lot of behinds.
Is Plugger still helping out with the kicking? Doesn't look like it.
They've got to bring a whole lot more this week.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I didn't see the game, but watched the highlights on the AFL website. Towers features prominently. Only a small sample I know, but hopefully we can see more highlights and less half hearted efforts and brain farts. I think there is a good footy player in there somewhere!

Parker's miss was way out of character. Sam Reid; well, not surprised. Walked in straight on an angle, laid back on the kick and went way wide. Got everything wrong, again. Plugger must have been gnashing his teeth.

Oh barry, I thought you were so much better than using the haters line.
Today's a draft of your epitaph

Here's a take on Deano by someone he grew up with. I found it a fascinating read.

Round 12 – Sydney v Western Bulldogs: Barracking for Towers
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Lines may come in and out of fashion, but if the gumboot fits..

    Coaches votes are interesting

    Rohan 10
    Rampe 7
    Parker 5
    Lloyd 4
    Towers 4

Rohan, Rampe, Towers - no surprises there. I'm a bit surprised that one of the coaches would have given Parker 4, and both of them rated Lloyd's game, which I thought was ok without being spectacular.
