Sorry I misunderstood. Thought Sinclair was the non-playing emergency.

Is Jake Bortholomaeus related to former Swan Grant Bartholomaeus? And wasn't he one of ours a few years ago?

He played 3 games for us last year.

Also note that Matt Rawlinson one of Sydney Uni's better players is playing for them as a topup. Uni have the bye this weekend.

Yes son of Grant. There has been some changes as another Swans Academy player, unsure if still in, played for the Giants last week, Max Lower, and played 3 times for us this year.

Lower got votes from the Giants after being belted by Southport.

Conditions are great. Sun has just set below horizon and temperature is falling quickly. May get dewy, though there is a little bit of cloud around to provide some protection. Very mild breeze - barely enough to ruffle the hair.

Giants very competitive so far their youngsters are competing well and actually playing well as an unit.

Tippett rucking but noticeably sits a kick behind play if the ball is in our forward fifty for a ruck contest. He has gone forward a few times but hasn't marked one inside fifty despite a few close calls. He's moving okay a little laboured but I think that's his usual style

Hayward was eye catching in the first quarter did some very nice things, contested marks, kicks, goals from tough angles but disappeared in the 2nd quarter.

AJ playing in defence and tackling well. However some poor defensive efforts by Marsh Talia and maibaum at times led to their goals.

Aliir and Murray not providing their usual drive from defence.

Foote tackling well as the stats show playing both midfield and forward. Rose mostly midfield and looking good including a nice fend off and banana goal. Dawson good in patches started forward and rotated through the mids

Watching last week, Rose was outstanding, a class above most others out there.

?I think Tippett is done for the day. On the bench left boot off and getting left ankle strapped. ?
