Anyone else get the finals draw sent out?

Week 3 there is no div 4 game so no prelim finals in div 4. There is u19s2 match 5 (prelim) on Sunday and then u19s2 match 4 (GF) on Sunday.

It also has division 2 GF in week 3 and division 2 GF in week 4. No division 3 grand finals either.

Is there a mistake? Surely they double checked it before being sent out.

Lauren sent out an update a bit later - Div 4 Prelim is on at 12pm, Sunday 9 September at Henson. As you noted the original had a number of errors!

How hard is it to copy and paste from 2016 and update the dates?

It's a bit different this year as they have gone from six weeks of finals to four and are using three venues (Henson, BISP, Bruce Purser). As long as there's enough umpires to go round I guess.

It's very different this year. First time I can remember that Premier Division isn't the last Grand Final to be played.

Not a fan of u19s being the week before the GF. imo should be on same day as div 1 and prems. Or if they really want to promote the womens then go u19s1, womens prems, mens prems.

definitely agree why on earth is Div 2 grand final on the same day as Div 1 and Prem, why all of a sudden have they changed the structure it used be???? It always worked??

Heard on the grapevine Camden are being promoted to premier next year and its going back to the way it use to be.

Would make alot more sense clubs travelling to play other clubs

Not ideal. 7 Grand Finals on a Sunday, not a lot of recovery time for the flag winners before the Monday grind. Disappointing that Sydney Footy is generally a Saturday game, until finals. Re the 19's, as they are 4 team finals, fair enough that they play a week earlier, wouldn't want a bye in there as it would give a three week break for the first team in.

    Completely agree.
Would be great if there was some consultation with the people really interested in the game before changes like this get made.
IMO 19 1's is either the 2nd or 3rd highest std of footy in Sydney AFL and should be on the same day as prem div and div 1.
Also, how anti climactic is having the div 5 final on at 9.30am the day after the prem final!!
Hope they've done the maths on the number of umpires!!
