The Dean Cox article isn't loading for me but if he is coming as the ruck coach then that might explain why Taubert was having drinks with the current and past ruckmen?

We should be so lucky to have the 4 in the picture. And wouldn't put much of a dent in the salary cap either.

The article says Cox has senior coaching aspirations so if he does join us it doesnt necessarily mean its as a ruck coach

To get a stand alone VFL club to two premierships and three minor premierships in that time is impressive.
I played golf with Gary Brice ( ex south player and president of the port melbourne past players association for those people who don't know who he is. ) after port won the other day. I asked him about Ayres and if he still wanted to coach at AFL and he said Garry IS interested but doesn't know if there is much interest with AFL clubs

Blast from the past Bexi. Brice was a very good player at half forward. No 7 with a barrel chest. Successful coach of Port as I recall.

I liked Bricey as a kid. South and Port were closely connected, so I always barracked for Port in the then VFA. Was very happy to see them beat the Tigers in the VFL GF.

I'm excited I thought we needed a shake-up and now it has happened. I think new voices will re-awaken the hunger.
