Aren't we the lucky ones. It's almost as bigger honour as cleaning the toilets in the Collingwood locker room.

At a very unfriendly time for any fan from Sydney thinking of travelling over to watch (or at least, anyone that has a job to go to).

    Jeez. What an awkward time.
I'll be nice to be the first team to WIN at the new stadium.
That'll stick it up those wet coke budgies more than MickyO did to their cheer squad.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Not that awkward but expensive. Fly over in the morning , watch the game and take the red eye special back. Might not feel like fronting up to work. Had to take that flight once a month when living in Perth.

    Don't the women count?

Saturday, February 10 (4.10pm WST): Fremantle vs Collingwood @ Perth Stadium

    I understand they're expecting 30-35 K to attend.

It'll be interesting to see how the Premiers go against the Giants

Happy to get the new stadium game out of the way first round.
Basically a neutral ground as far as skills on the field go.
Crowd obviously will be at capacity and pretty much all eagles.

surely the AFL aren't going to drip feed the fixture throughout the off season as a wkly news event ? is it really that important ?

Got to keep a presence in the media all year round. I think they release the full fixture next week, they did it on that timing last year.

Given the clean out by WCE, we'd want to come away with the four points. Wonder how difficult it will be to get tickets. Wouldn't mind a week in WA wine regions plus the footy.
