Yep Lance has started on fire. I reckon Towers has done bloody well too.

Crowd may influence umps later in the game so we need to press hard here.

    Masters of the understatement.

Hewett is going pretty well too. He hasn't always handled the ball cleanly but he's getting to the right spot often. Parker and Kennedy relatively muted by their standards.

A few of the Eagles look like they're carrying some bulk around their midriffs - NicNat for one (possibly understandably), McGovern and, dare I say it, Jetta.

Yes, I have liked Hewett's game and Hayward has shown a bit around the clearances.
I also liked the fact that Jake Lloyd was the first goal kicker at their new ground. As the ball sailed through, I imagined all the West Australians who had just done their dough.
And bizarrely, we're also winning the frees, 9-4. Maybe it's strange acoustics and the umpires can't hear the crowd?

ABC commentary having a shocker, getting about 1 in 6 players wrong. Must be calling from a mobile screen

NicNat is murdering us, so much for the stupid notion ruckmen are an optional extra. If we win this year it will because the rest of our game is so good not because ruckmen dont matter

    What's this straight kicking nonsense?

Those hands for the collection and give off by Heeney to Bud were almost as ridiculous as the game Buddy is playing

The skills of that kid are something beautiful to watch.

Id almost forgotten what a joyous thing it is to watch Buddy kicking them from everywhere and making it look easy.

Heeney doing the swingman role went down back at the end of that q.
