Swans vs Eagles - match day thread

Who's our normal match day thread starter? Have they fallen asleep at the wheel.

Anyway, this will get us going.

As per the selection discussion thread, Reid is out of the side, replaced by Hayward. It's amazing how good "depth" looks until the team is actually forced to rely on it...

I've felt really confident about this all week... until now. Now the nerves have begun. Surely Swans by 30+ even over in Perth?

On the way home from the Geelong game hopefully in time to see the start of our game. It was good to be distracted during the day...now time to stress! I hate being the last game of the round.

Its been a long wait today. With Reid missing and playing smaller through the ruck, it will be very interesting to see how well we adapt to a new, shorter yet faster approach. On paper we should still win by 30+ but Ill be happy with 1pt.

We will need our mids and small forwards to play at their best for sure.

I am backing Hayward to step up.

I wouldn't be kicking the ball to a marking contest in our forward line with all their tall defenders. Just keep the ball low, find lead up targets and even kick the ball along the ground if need be.
