Thanks again, ugg. So all our recent 7 draftees from last year were playing, which is great to see. But no Dawson - presumably didn't come up to scratch at training after his injury.

    Here's afl.com.au's write up AFL.com.au - Page Not Found

    State league affiliate:@Sydney (NEAFL)
This weekend: Brisbane v@Sydney@-@Saturday, April 14,@12pm,@Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex@
Irishman Colin O'Riordan followed up on an impressive round one performance by being his side's most prolific ball-winner, collecting 23 disposals as Sydney lost to Brisbane by 50 points.
Darcy Cameron and Ben Ronke each snagged two goals, with Ronke also laying 10 tackles, while Robbie Fox and Harry Marsh had 22 disposals apiece.
The Swans led at the main break but couldnt hold on as Brisbane booted 12 second-half goals at Burpengary, 19.10 (124) to 10.14 (74).

Where is Sam Wicks this year? Looked a good prospect last year and was a little surprised he didnt get rookie listed this year.

He played for the Swans Academy on the weekend as an overage player.

Another interesting thing I noted was that Laidler was our runner against the Bulldogs, as he was against the Giants. So that means he didn't co-coach this game.

Probably co-coaching whilst on the ground ala Nick Maxwell for GWS!

Our conversion rate was poor but at least we out tackled them, as youd hope given that they had most of the possession. Ronke alone had 10 tackles which is great to see ( although a more even spread would be even better).

Does anyone know if the Swans are planning to organise a scratch match during their NEAFL bye this week. Possibly against the Giants who also have a bye

Im not sure Laidler is going that well as a coach. I have heard he has a lot to learn.

Clearly Ben Ronke will only play well when the live streaming is working. Was easily BOG for us until the lights went out.

We finally have word on Dawson's injury and it doesn't sound great - 6 weeks!

Bell, AJ and Foote also out for 6 weeks, even though the article quotes Harley as saying that they "can't put a hard and fast date on it"

I saw this too. Feel bad for AJ. His last chance is slipping away from him.

We're going to have to manage a long time without Reid, which is a bummer. Still we'll (hopefully) get him for half a season leading into finals by which time (again, hopefully) he'll be cherry ripe.

What they're saying about Dawson is really confusing. Last week Dawson was a "test". This week Harley says "Jordan Dawson (quad) continues to be monitored as he takes part in a modified training program to overcome a longer term injury that has hampered his pre-season campaign." But, at the same time, it is written that Dawson is out for 6 weeks. Am I the only one that is confused?
