The Swans are only outside the 8 on percentage. If we beat Collingwood then there’s a good chance we’ll play finals, unlikely as it seems now.
Even though I am not anywhere as optimistic as the bookies, we have to give it a shot with the banged up side against the Pies.
If we that then we can look ahead to 2019. You can be sure Parker and others will want to give it everything.
It’s not like Collingwood don’t have their own injury problems, particularly in defence.
I had been calling for the dropping of old players but if Jack and Macca are fit they need to come back in. I was wrong. Team is too young now.
I’m torn re: unfit Buddy as he got comprehensively beaten by Hurley yet still kicked a couple of handy goals and had 5 scoring shots the week before.
Someone suggested we use him as a decoy and drag his man away from the play (as Aliir’s opponent did in the second half last wee).
I reckon if he says he’s ok to play he stays in, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he can’t get up this week. Looked very sore.
IN: Jack, Macca, possibly Cameron
OUT: Grundy, Jones, possibly Buddy
I’m giving the Swans the benefit of the doubt this week, but fear the worst.
Pies have more injuries than us, and even though they have been hyped up, could easily slip out of the top 4 especially if we win this weekend.
Out: Jones.
In: AJ
8 day break this week, I reckon Buddy will get up. Amazing effort to be making a contribution with the little training he's doing.
McVeigh and Jack both a chance to play according to Horse's presser.
