Think we’ve found our new backman for the rest of the season.

Nic Newman in tears for his teammate. Speaks volumes of the love for AJ at the club!

Problem is we need him in the midfield and forward as well!

Our effort is rarely in question, and we do so well in adversity. Super effort today, down to 20 fit guys for most of the match - helped by poor kicking by the Dees, but great desire from the boys. Gosh I wish we wouldn't try to defend a lead like we did in the last quarter though - I know we were well down on troops and rotations, but when we go into our shells its heart in the mouth stuff the whole way.

But AJ, just so damn awful. Nobody deserves the awful run of luck he has had, nobody.

Hannas had the Zac Jones role
1 good thing, 3 bad, frees against the play and 4 direct turnovers for goals..... other than that pretty good

Surely Heeney is a future captain for us? His coolness under pressure is unbelievable...

I think of the 2003 final against Port, as one of my favourite games. Both for the unexpected flair of the first half and the guts of an injury depleted side, holding on in the second half. It was probably the game that announced the Swans as a new force. This game reminded me of that one.
