After the money they spent on players and assistance from swans and uni they couldn't beat uni.

Surely there needs to be an investigation from the board.

    Minor premiers.

    Missed out yes.

Great in roads from few years ago.

Better than your old coaches five year plan which was eight

    And where were you???

Thats true. Minor premiers to going out in straight sets is a great result.

We've seen from Hawthorn and Melbourne that you need to bring something a bit special into the finals, but North Shore just had 'the usuals'...you know, Carruthers, Crane, SelbyLS, McConnell but that wasn't enough. Too many passengers. I liked the games of Harry Morrison and the ruckman for Uni and they helped make a difference.
But I thought the game was won and lost up forward. Roberts had knees bandaged up like Michelin Man and shoulders showing the telltale signs of a heavy session of massage therapy but, despite that, he could hardly move up forward. How embarrassing to watch him dawdle off the interchange and along the boundary towards his position up forward. He's a great forward - strong mark and straight kick - as long as he stands 30m out and they give him lollypops lace-out. He kicked a couple but was mostly coming on and off the interchange. His game reminded me of that old ECE champ whose name is no longer mentioned in polite company.
Compare that to Tristan Davies (33) for Uni. Has played NEAFL but his defensive forward skills aren't great, but good enough for Prems. But his skills up forward made a big difference - no wonder he made the SFL team of the year. A strong lead and an accurate kick from up to 50m. He kicked 6 (out of nine)and was a reliable and mobile avenue to goal. His game reminded me of Brayden Thingy from Manly a few years ago.
Injuries to North Shore didn't help them, with the fullback subbed off after a bad head knock, and Roberts hardly able to walk.
Uni was up and about and really won quite convincingly - I can't wait for the GF next weekend.
Special mention to the North Shore cheer squad. Carried on like idiots until some knucklehead in their group threw a loaded beer can at a Uni player - I reckon the game turned at that point, the fans hardly said boo after that and obviously dealt with the knucklehead in the most effective way.

    Big Mad Monday at Manly?

On the news someone helicoptered to hospital after trying to go down the stairs in a bin.

Interesting to note that Sydney Uni made the Grand Finals in every Mens Division
Premier, Reserves, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3
    Not a bad effort

forgot to mention how ridiculous the scheduling for the grand finals have been....poor old platinum comp fans had a 6:10pm Sunday Senior Grand final......im sure they didnt care but that is laughable really....also watching the phelan last night ...who ever put the slideshow together stuffed up because you could see further results of the standings before they were announced in the final 6 rounds mediocre viewing as per usual despite matt degroot hosting (good bloke) good luck to all teams this weekend will be the first time the Prems premiership will be south of the bridge since 2012, north dominance is over
