Commentary was cringeworthy. I really thought I was listening to NRL people trying to commentate an AFL game.

    Continually stating things like
"They just have to put some points on the board". WTF? Did they mean they need to kick a few goals?
"Sydney Uni kick it to Sydney Uni" or "Bulldogs in the backline kick it to a Bulldogs player on the wing"
"What a GREAT kick" - continually said after a long high bomb into the forward pocket

I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the drift. Bring back the old commentators who had completed enough research and studied the player jumper numbers.

Reading the match report reminded me of another highlight/lowlight - Nettheim for Sydney is the only player I can remember wearing specs since a Balmain player during their glory days....and who on here can remember back to Geoff Blethyn (Essendon)...number 24 I reckon.
Well Nettheim on Saturday copped a FALCON right on the specs and, hey, wouldn't THAT hurt if you were wearing specs ?
No wonder he went off bleeding !!!

It doesn't end well. I told my brother not to wear sunglasses when umpiring, 1. because you look silly, and 2. the players should be able to see your eyes when you are officiating, but he doesn't listen to me.

Then this happened. Fractured orbital socket and broken nose, lucky not to lose sight in his eye

Is the A Brawn who kicked 3 goals in the Grand Final for Pennant Hills reserves the same bloke that was playing in the 90's when Pennant Hills kept losing Grand Finals.

    Its not a common name.
