IIRC he started playing AFL very late. I think was playing union and converted to AFL in his late teens. This probably gives him a year or two of grace.

We know what happened with Reg last year. Prior to that, there were no signs of a drop off so I think he deserves a pre-season at the very least.

My god, Reid in makes us look a much better side.
How many games have Reid and buddy actually played together. Not many. Not enough.

Makes me think when Reid is injured we really should be playing Sinkers as a forward and one of Cameron/Naismith as the ruck. Forget copying the Tigers/Pies, our forward line is so much more functional when we have 2 mobile KPFs (sorry Tom). As good as Franklin is, he is not a crash and bash KPF and our forward line entry is either bombing it in or too slow for this to be an efficient option.

I see no reason why Reid won't be back in 2019 bigger than ever.

Yes he has a history of weird injuries but I think they will take an ultra conservative approach with him, he is fit now and a good program over the summer should reduce his chance of injury.

    Fingers crossed.

By bigger than ever you mean he's been hitting the weights?

I know that when it comes to footy I am not as analytical as Auntie.G and most others on RWO, but I wouldn't want our starting 22 without Sinclair. 2017 - Best clubman, 2018 - Most improved. This is one guy who gives his absolute all for the club, loves the club, and IMHO does a pretty damn good job playing for the club. Just for those attributes and attitudes, I'd pick him.

I haven't worked out my own 22, but if I had to include Sinkers at the cost of a place of one of Auntie.G's nominations, it would - sadly - have to be McCartin for mine.
