Some good news from the training track.....
Triple treat for Swans as stars depart rehab group - AFL.com.au
There's a fair amount of content in that designed to get us drooling. Not just that three important players have left the rehab group, but also the comments on Papley and Blakey. Plus I'd love to see Dawson and COR play so well during the pre-season games that they can't be left out of the round 1 side. I don't want to think about who they'd replace in the "best 22", but I think they each bring something to the side otherwise lacking, and we'll be a better side if they are genuinely in the best 22.
Nick Blakey, our ‘father-son’ recruit (sic .... lol) looking good!
How are our veterans tracking (according to afl.com.au anyway)?
Is age just a number? How your club's veterans are tracking - AFL.com.au
Actually sounds promising.....
It appears with a bit of luck we will go into round 1 with a pretty healthy list. I spent a couple of days with Ludwig in Thailand last week and our list analysis had us confident that we will be punching with the heavyweights once again. Particularly with the expected improvement of the 2 and 3 year players. I also have from an impeccable source that Sam Reid is over his issues, firing and ready to go. Lets hope he can play a full season.
Great to see Maibaum is training his butt off and being highlighted for his efforts. I feel he is part of our future once our veterans retire at the end of next season, given his efforts in the NEAFL last season
Enjoyed this little video of preseason training: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs6pngsA...d=glb220z8n42v.
Surely you mean Mr Snuffallafagous!
There's a reason Pink got a third season, coaches must see something. Given all the bagging he gets on here, I'll have a chuckle if he does make AFL :-)
Is Snuffallafagous correctly spelled?
