‪McLean and Foot warming up with the forwards. Amartey with the defenders. The other three rucks doing centre bounce practice, mainly Cameron and Knoll. ‬

Naismith the only Swan with his training shirt on top of his guernsey suggesting he won’t play the early parts of the game.

Great start so far with a lot of Academy boys and top up looking good!

Do you know much about Close ugg? Looks pretty clean and skilled so far!

McInerny still reminds me of a young Scott Pendlebury

The way they stand in traffic and have so much time with the ball

I see so much upside with McInerny because it is so hard to find players that can stand in pressure / contested footy situations and find an exit

Speak of the devil he just took the game on and hit a lion with a hand pass 😂

Then two minutes later bust the game open and we scored

Well, that was fun. Wasn't expecting that.
I thought Cameron and to a lesser extent, Knoll, were very good in the ruck. Meaning that we got plenty of forward fifty entries: where youngsters Thorne, Martin and Close took advantage. Our harassment of the Lions, led by Bell, was also very good. Although they always look dangerous when they get clear. Rose had a high possession quarter and used it well. McLean looking dangerous as a forward, but he didn't capitalize.

Having now seen Sam Naismith playing football, I am now going to see whether I can spot the Loch Ness Monster tap dancing.

Nice to still be in front at half time; although much of that quarter was spent in the Lions forward half. Pink and Amartey were very good in repelling attack after attack. Wicks and Bell were their usual competitive selves. While I've really liked Cameron's game. To the extent of wondering, if he was available when Sinclair got injured, would we have been finals contenders? But of course, a season is full of what ifs.

This wasn't my post. Clearly some people have the ability now to edit other people's posts. Pretty ordinary RWO...

Still in front. Not sure how? The only stats we're in front in are frees and hitouts. Still, it's a very good fighting effort, against a high quality Lions side.
