Stevens won the 2km? time trial at his new club.
Didn't Stevens do something similar with us?
Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.
Doesn't sound like it was a simple time trial, but certainly an event testing a combination of endurance and speed.
And yes, to R&R's question (or more likely, observation) - Stephens won each and every such drill during his time with us.
There's an opportunity to be grasped for the squad when they return to training in a week or two: Who can grab Stephens's mantle as the speed/endurance king? Errol won't be far away, though his strength is based more on his endurance than his speed. But I'm hoping Warner-the-Younger has had a big off-season and makes an announcement on his return to training. He came in the top handful last year, so he should by in the mix.
Obviously doing everything he can to succeed at his new club to ensure he ends up with an AFL career.
Probably stuff he should have done with us and didn't? Although he always did well in our 2km time trials....didn't equate to being a stand out AFL player.
Good luck to him.

Time trials are just that- and not necessarily an indicator of on field performance. No doubt Dyl has ability and hence pick 5, but if it is true that a new contract was offered during the season and he chose not to sign it, then to me that shows his heart was not with our club. No point having a player who doesn’t give his all so good luck Dyl and thanks for nothing!
That's a bit harsh Roadrunner - beep beep
I know- I tend to feel like that 707, as I place loyalty to the clubas a must. Of course, if a player is not getting a game due to others ahead of him in the pecking order, while his form warrants picking him, then it is understandable that he look elsewhere. Dyl’s form was a bit erratic but Horse gave him every opportunity and you could feel the club wanted him to succeed. For whatever reason, he just wasn’t quite up to it and never really showed that he wanted to fight for his place. Pity, as no doubt he has ability.
