I'd noticed his inability to stay in position, but I hadn't realised he was so short.

Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.
I had the great misfortune, and its entirely my fault, of accidently turning on footy classified last night when I couldnt get to sleep.
And there was Eddie MacGuire suggesting that the pies do not have to go after a power forward like Daniher or Jeremy Cameron, because they recruited Darcy Cameron from Sydney for that role.
No pressure Darcy, but the Pies premiership hopes are riding on you.

It's probably the saddest story I've witnessed in all my years as a Swans fan. I too hope that in 20 years time he'll be able to focus more on the way he overcame his adversities to make it back, rather than the horrendous end to his playing career.

I'm glad that he at least made it, and showed us all that he wasn't delusional, when he successfully returned to the field against Collingwood. I think it would have been even sadder if the last injury had happened in training or even in a NEAFL match rather than during a joyous victory at AFL level. To some degree it vindicated his years of perseverance notwithstanding what happened a week later. A special guy who got to live his dreams more than most despite the so sad ending.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)
So cruel that it was his good knee that failed at the end.
The same knee that got him through his whole career unscathed. So unlucky!
Tadhg Kennelly is not the only Swans premiership hero to be a coaching casualty of Covid-19.
Marty Mattner is gone from the Crows with no other job lined up.
