The Brownlow Medal is for the fairest and best in a particular season. Teaser was light years ahead of anyone else in his Brownlow year.

I've always suspected that there was an underlying reason behind Sheedy's put down of Teaser. Sheedy was at Richmond when we gave them John Pitura and they gave us Teaser, Whale Roberts and Francis Jackson. Teaser won a Brownlow, Roberts nearly won one and Jackson played 100 fantastic game for us. Sour grapes from Sheedy? His comments towards Teaser reeked of jealousy and were childish and particularly distasteful

This is exactly what I thought....Sheedy is just pissed off that the Tigers lost that deal by a huge margin.....and it goes a long way to back up what my late father used to say about him....."he's a nasty piece of work that Sheedy".
