I don't think that Jacks issue is form. He been terrible for the last few years and has played plenty of games during that period. I suspect that his body is shot. I remember someone telling me he had some leg issues? I think he would have finished had he not been given this very long contract. McVeigh has the ability to play on but his body can't hold up. Menzels not a small forward. My concern with Ronke his form last season might have been a flash in the pan. That would leave only with Heywood as the only speedy/small forward in the team. Having said that, Cripps is a future Brownlow Medalist and you would sell the farm to get him.
I reckon Cripps is a gun but I suppose you all have guessed that by now.
We are thin on key defenders. Griffin Logue looks handy and is only getting a run through injuries. The other guy who I've always liked is Jeremy Howe, who seems to now be behind a few others at the Pies. The Langdon brothers would be a fantastic acquisitions. It's always hard to know these days what would be realistic (maybe none of the above!)
Didn't we recruit Ling, Stoddart, Florent and Hayward for that outside speed? We don't want too many players of that ilk. Long and Stoddart generally spent most of their time at half back and Florent and Haywood generally spent most of their time between midfield and the forward half. My understanding is that all were recruited under the expectation that they would spend considerable time in the midfield.
I don't consider any of Heeney, Hewett, Jones, Mills, Clarke, Rowbottom and Dawson as being gun inside midfielders, which is what we need. Rowbottom was recruited for that role and is looking likely to be very good, but is yet to prove himself.
I think we need another gun inside mid to succeed Junior in a few years. Rowell would have been ideal for us as his inside work is elite but he is also good on the outside.
I think the same is true on the outside as the inside. Lots of potential but no guns YET.

I agree that our primary need is for big bodied inside midfielders as JPK will be coming to the end soon and we only really have Park's outside of him. Dawson is obviously in the mix too but believe we worry to much about leg speed and less about actually winning the ball out of the middle.
Menzel and Haywood are both 6’2” hardly small (although you could possibly argue the point that they might be standing next to Bud, Reid and Sink.
Paps is one of the best small forwards at the moment.
And Ronke replacing Papsoh wait, you were serious?
Ronke is struggling for consistency at the NEAFL level. He’s going to have to earn his place before you could even seriously consider him as a what will be a very inferior substitute for Paps.

Not to far off possible trading Zac and GC would probably take Zac plus maybe a little more to sweeten the deal
Zac would get a massive increase in salary
