(Regardless of whether the person Papley was spotted with was Playfair or not- doesn't look like him to my eyes.)
He has left the Saints to go to Carlton.

Pretty sure that photo was accurate and it was Playfair. Just looks different to when he played.

Two big time signings- excellent result and both long term.

Excellent news locking both of them down

Hayward had an off year, but looks a great talent. Will be interesting to see how he develops over the coming years.

Hayward has also become the sole beneficiary in John Longmire's will.

    Yep, great news.

I wonder whether Hayward's off year has something to do with that hip.

Ollie really stepped up a notch this year. And again, lad.

The AFL website has a longer version of the article. Relevant quote below, emphasis is mine:

"Hayward (pick no.21) became the youngest player to kick 50 career goals in the AFL era since superstar mentor Lance Franklin did it in 2006.

He struggled with a hip issue this year, and managed just 12 goals from 13 games before surgery ended his season after round 18.

The 20-year-old has played 53 games in his three seasons."

So, the question for the Bombers is whether they think they'll get more free agency compensation next year than what we would offer in a trade this year.
Hmmm… it'll be interesting to see what people are willing to put on the table for Papley (should it come to that).

Totally agree, it seems like scare mongering over on BF.

But if you like that kind of thing then JD and Brad Crouch to Swans is a done deal! Those two in and Paps and Jones out.

Who knows? We all will soon.

I do love all this though, it makes no footy for Swans part of the year fun.

Ollie and Will do everything together. Will took half the year off just so Ollie could catch up in games, so each could end the year on 53 games. They'll probably get married soon.

    . . . . . . . .

John Worsfold says Daniher is going nowhere. I hope he's right, because that will mean that Papley is also going nowhere. I only think Papley goes to facilitate a Daniher trade.

When Gary Rohan left, he sold the incriminating photos he has of Longmire to Hayward. Apparently if Longmire ever gets sacked then
Gary has to pay some of the money back to Will.
