    The AFL and concussion

For the benefit of people who don't have access to Fairfax Press, here is an article from today's Good Weekend that makes absorbing reading. Our former club medico Nathan Gibbs contributes to the discussion. The whole issue will have a big impact on the AFL, but I wonder how ready they are to come to grips with a serious problem.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I just read the whole article, took me awhile but it was quite fascinating. Much more research needs to be done but with all the variables, it's tough to be certain. One thing is certain.......it's a grey area.
