Article today in Melbourne about Heeney carrying ankle and hip injuries and barely being able to train. Why play him then? Discuss.

I presume because (1) playing won’t mske his injuries worse (2) MC think an injured Heeney is better than a fit Rose / Rowbottom etc

You are probably right. Unfortunately he will probably end up like Hannebury, a wreck at 28.

    No changes for either team

    Heeney Thurlow Jack Fox
    Parish Myers Guelfi McKenna

    Starting benches

Don't like Heeney starting on the bench. Seems strange to have possibly our best (or most important) player not on the ground at the start of the game!

Article directly quoted him so it is true. How can it possibly help him and our future?I was at the game last week, and he didn't look right.

Thought he got hurt during that game. So did Paps

Haywood in the midfield is an interesting choice. Already almost has his usual possession count

Free kick, free kick, 50m penalty, free kick, goal. Yeah, can’t stand this nonsense. Why even bother?

Same same. Dodgy free kick to opposition in front of goal... every week.
